I am a professor from College of Life Sciences, Wuhan University, China. Dr. Shunbin Ning is an associate professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, East Tennessee State University, USA. Dr. Ayush Dogra has worked as the Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, UIET, PANJAB UNIVERSITY. Dr. Mastinu completed his PhD in 2014 from University of Cagliari. The main topic of his research was the cannabinoids and energetic metabolism. Now, Dr. Mastinu is the principal investigator for several projects: “Characterization new bioactive cannabimimetic natural entities in mouse models” and “Phytocannabinoids characterization from Cannabis sativa”. Prof. Cord Naujokat earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the Free University of Berlin, Germany as well as an M.D. at the University of Heidelberg. He earned bord certifications of Transfusion Medicine, Internal Medicine, Hematology/Oncology, and Laboratory Medicine at the University Hospitals Charite, Berlin, and Heidelberg, Germany. Since 2001 he worked as a senior scientist and since 2008 as Professor of Immunology at the Institute of Immunology, University of Heidelberg, Germany. Biography of Leonard Amaral

Dr. Leonard Amaral is an Emeritus Professor at the Institute of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Universidade Nova de Lisboa and a Distinguished Invited Scientist Fellow of the Fundacao de Ciencias e Tecnologia de Portugal. He received his PhD from the State University of New York (SUNY) in 1968. He has published over 400 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals. His research interests include Infectious diseases, Tuberculosis, Multi-Drug Resistance, Molecular Biology, and Drug Development. His area of current main contributions include a) Development of therapy by which the resistance of MDR/XDR Mtb is by-passed and the non-killing macrophage is transformed into a killer of MDR/XDR Mtb, and b) Therapy of MDR/XDR TB with an inexpensive drug that is beyond patent protection, has no serious toxicity and has been now shown to cure XDR TB. Besides, he has received Medal of Merit from the Universidad Nova de Lisboa in 2018.

Dr. Shiu-Wan Chan, Ph.D., is currently a lecturer in the Faculty of Life Sciences, affiliated with the Microbiology research group, at The University of Manchester, UK. After obtaining her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology at Edinburgh, she started her post-doctorate (also in Edinburgh) on pioneering hepatitis C virus (HCV) research and has made a major breakthrough in the discovery of a new genotype of the virus, its association with false negative blood donations and in the establishment of the current phylogenetic classification of the virus. Biography of Ziad Moussa

Dr. Ziad Moussa grew up in Calgary, Canada where he undertook undergraduate and postgraduate studies in chemistry at the University of Calgary (B.Sc. 1998, Ph.D. 2003). His Ph.D. research was conducted under the supervision of professor Thomas George Back and focused on the synthesis and evaluation of some novel selenium-based chiral auxiliaries and glutathione peroxidase mimetics. Following postdoctoral research at Texas A&M University (2003-2006) in the laboratories of Professor Daniel Romo, Dr. Ziad joined the Department of Chemistry at Taibah University as an assistant professor. Currently, he is an associate professor of organic chemistry at United Arab Emirates University (UAEU). Dr. rer. nat Arli Aditya Parikesit is the head of bioinformatics department at i3L. He finished his bachelor and master both in Chemistry, University of Indonesia. In order to pursue the degree in Bioinformatics, he accepted DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) fellow to conduct doctorate research at Bioinformatics Group, Faculty of Informatics and Mathematics, University of Leipzig, Germany. His doctoral research is focused on the utilization of modern protein domain annotation techniques to the three domains of life. In addition, Dr. Arli is also an expert on immunoinformatics, in silico drug design, and in silico transcriptomics.

Dr. Vaishali M. Patil obtained her PhD degree (2014) in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, India. She has received funding from various agencies to promote research activities of her lab.

Biography of Indra N. Pulidindi

Dr. Indra Neel Pulidindi is currently working on “Carbon fiber reinforced composites (CFRPs)” as a postdoctoral researcher in the laboratory of Prof. Xinling Wang at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. Dr. Pulidindi worked as a visiting scientist in the laboratory of Prof. Tae Hyun Kim at Hanyang University, Republic of Korea during 2016-2017 where he gained expertise on biomass characterization and utilization for biochemicals production. He has worked as postdoctoral researcher in the laboratory of Prof. Aharon Gedanken at Bar-Ilan University, Israel from 2010 to 2016, during which he gained experience on the conversion of biomass to biofuels and biochemicals and developed nanomaterial based sensors for biomolecules. He obtained Ph.D., degree from IIT Madras, India, in 2010 where he produced the doctoral thesis entitled “Development and exploitation of carbon materials from plant sources” under the supervision of Professor T. K. Varadarajan and Prof. B. Viswanathan. He has published 38 peer- reviewed manuscripts, 1 patent, applied for 4 patents, authored 1 book, 5 book chapters and 1 e-book.

Arslan Sehgal is working as an Assistant Professor, Department of Bioinformatics, University of Okara, Okara, Pakistan and Visiting Assistant Professor, Department of Bioinformatics and Biotechnology, Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF), Faisalabad, Pakistan. He defended his PhD in Cell Biology successfully from Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing with the specialization of bioinformatics and computational drug designing. Moreover, he has authored/co-authored thirty (30) international research/review articles in peer reviewed journals and one (01) complete book as principle and corresponding author. For his contributions in the field, he was awarded with Research Productivity Award for the year of 2015, 2016 and 2017 by CUI, and CAS-TWAS president fellowship award 2015. Moreover, in 2018, he was honored with the Excellent International Student of UCAS 2018.

Biography of Jinming Zhou

Dr Zhou got his PHD degree from Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry as the major of rational drug design. He finished his Postdoc training in Mcgill university as major of rational drug design. Dr Zhou come to IMB/CAS as associate professor since 2010, and became full professor of IMB/CAS in 2017. Since 2018, he became a professor in Zhejiang normal university and the director of DDIC. His group focuses on the development of anti-viral drugs and anti-cancer drugs. He has been approved for four NCSF grants and was nominated as “Xiehe’ star”. Up to now, his group has published more than 50 papers and 10 patents.

Biography of Reza Rastmanesh

Reza Rastmanesh, Ph.D. worked as an assistant professor in Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, clinical nutrition and dietetics department from 2004 to 2010, where he was involved in the human studies on novel approaches to weight loss, ranging from mixed psychological approaches to traditional and herbal medicine and supplements. He has two theories for weight loss involving melatonin, sleep, appetite, and thermoregulation. He also established theories in different medical situations including retinal neovascularization, ocular situations and dermatology. For the past 14 years, he has been working at molecular, sociomedical and biomedical levels in diabetes management and obesity control. He has a wide range of interests, including but not limited to molecular and psychological approaches for weight loss, melatonin, time perception, memory, cognition, brain energy and thermodynamics. He is currently an independent researcher.
